Once you have enrolled in the Free Trial or enrolled in the Academic Program by selecting your desired content level and enrollment term, you and your child are now ready to experience the advantages and benefits of this unique and comprehensive intellectual development and learning resource. Before you actually begin using Time2Learn, there are a number of important things to consider to ensure that you and your child get the full benefit from this valuable and unique learning and development experience.

Internet Connection & PC system
Invest in a PC system and Internet connection that are more than adequate to present the materials properly on-line. You will find that the quality of your on-line connection is essential to providing your child an effective and enjoyable experience. You will also find that a printer (color printer is recommended) will allow you to print numerous worksheets, games and other interactive exercises that augment and add extra value to your child's experience. The printed exercises are highly recommended because they offer an excellent reinforcement of the information. The Learning Environment
The setting you use for delivering Time2Learn materials to your child is important. Children must be in a comfortable setting where they can concentrate, relax and enjoy the lessons and materials without interruptions. Instruct family members and others to not interrupt your sessions unless it is very important. In addition, TVs, radios and other devices that can cause distractions or interrupt concentration should be off. See Tips For Success for more information.

Parent/Guardian/Teacher Role
Your children want you to be involved with them while they're learning. You will find that the lessons are mainly self-running, fully narrated, accompanied by exciting sound effects and animation and require almost no preparation to deliver. This is one of the primary advantages of Time2Learn Academy - you can now spend your time totally involved with the actual learning process instead of spending endless hours finding and ordering (or making your own) materials, organizing and preparing lessons, and storing and cataloguing everything for future use.

We highly recommend that you be involved in the learning process with your child and now, with Time2Learn you have the luxury of available time and the ability to focus on just that. Many children are capable of handling a mouse and will learn to logon and select the proper lessons to actually "drive " Time2Learn content by themselves. That is fine and should be encouraged, but you should always be available to provide guidance, encouragement, answer questions, give praise, rewards and keep your child focused and moving forward.

Your Commitment
Your children will only be as committed to learning and educational development as you are. You must establish the proper learning environment and setting, keep your equipment in optimum working condition, and be involved with them in the learning process. You should set a schedule for the Time2Learn learning sessions and have your child take the courses and lessons as often as they will happily receive them.
