About Who It's For
Time2Learn reading
therapists have integrated the skills, information and knowledge
a person needs to become a proficient reader. The Program is relatively
simple and easy enough for even the youngest student to master at
his or her own pace. The use of advanced technology has made it
possible to present reading concepts and skills (i.e. segmenting,
blending and phoneme manipulation) in an interactive format that
is easy to use and understand. After just a few lessons the student
will be able to follow the program independently and complete the
associated worksheets with little parental oversight - but parental
oversight in all levels of the program is highly recommended.
The normal age
at which a child begins to read can be anywhere from three to eight
years old, so the levels are intended only as a general guideline.
Each student should progress through the complete program, level
by level to ensure that all the skills are mastered. The youngest
students may need to spend a long time learning and mastering the
sounds in Level 1 - Reading Readiness, while older students may
be able to master them quickly. In both cases, the materials are
self-paced and can be repeated as often as needed to ensure that
the goal of reading proficiency is realized. With Discover e-Reading,
children will learn to read - then read to learn!
